Strandtasche Tutorial

Die letzen Tage habe ich damit verbracht ein Schnittmuster für eine grosse Tasche zu entwerfen.

Mit einem Blattpapier und einem Bleistift ausgestattet, sass ich nun an meinem Schreibtisch und überlegte.

Ein groben Entwurf hatte ich schon im Kopf, auch die Grösse.

Und los geht es.

Maße: 36x42x23 ( Nahtzugabe inklusive)

Ich wählte zwei Stoffe, innen weiss und abwaschbar und aussen ein ganz leichter Polyester/ Cotton Stoff.

Nun Stoff, Schere, Massband und es kann losgehen.

Die Tasche besteht aus zwei Teilen, die Innentasche und die Aussentasche auf der werden die kleinen Tasche aufgesetzt.

Hier habe ich die einzelnen Teile aufgelistet:

Aussentasche:  4x 36x42cm (lange Seite)- 2x lange Seite und 2x für die aufgesetzte Aussentasche                            

                         4x 36x23cm- 2x Seitenteil und 2x kleine Aussentasche

                         1x  42x23 Boden

Innentasche:     2x 36x42 lange Seite

                         2x 36x23  Seitenteil

                         1x 42x23 Boden     

                         für alle Teile dasselbe nochmal von der Wattierung

Aussentasche nähen

Zuerst habe ich die kleinen Aussentaschen auf die langen Seiten- und die Seitenteile genäht.

Danach wird nach dieser Reihenfolge genäht: lange Seite, Seitenteil, lange Seite, Seitenteil zusammengenäht.

Das etwas schwierige ist der Boden. Erst mit Nadeln anheften und wichtig erst an den Ecken anpassen. Dann rundherum nähen.

Innentasche nähen

Mit der Innentasche genauso verfahren, rechts auf rechts und lange Seite, Seitenteil, lange Seite, Seitenteil nähen. Zum Schluss der Boden.

Bitte beachten: 

Ich nehme für die Innenseite zusätzlich eine Wattierung.

Ich mache es damit die Tasche zusätzlich stabiler wird.

Also das batting zusammen mit den Teilen annähen.

Wenn Du  noch zusätzlich eine kleine Innentasche für Stifte, Telefon etc haben möchtest, musst Du diese vor dem zusammennähen der Seitenteile annähen.

Ok, die einzelnen Taschenteile sind fertig.

Jetzt kommen die Henkel.

Meine sind:  2x 65x10cm plus innen batting, dann sind sie etwas fester

Die sind einfach zu nähen.

Stoff 65x10 in die Mitte Wattierung umschlagen und knapp am Rand nähen.

Ich nähe an beiden Seiten knapp am Rand, danach bügeln.

Nun werden beide Taschen ineinander gesetzt, die Henkel eingepasst und rundherum zusammengenäht.

Ich nähe erst 1 cm vom Rand und dann noch einmal knapp am Rand.

An den Henkeln noch einmal zusätzlich ein zickzack Stich.

Fertig! 

Ich habe in meine Tasche zusätzlich einen Reissverschluss genäht, das kannst Du, brauchst Du aber nicht.

Auch ein gutes Transportmittel für Irmi und Diego

Beach Bag Tutorial

I spend the last few days designing a pattern for a big bag.
Equipped with a sheet of paper and a pencil, I sat at my desk now and was thinking about.
I already had a rough idea in my head.
Let us beginn.

Dimension: 36x42x23cm ( seam addition included)

I chose two fabric, white and washable inside and a very light polyester/cotton fabric for the outside.

Now fabric, scissor, tape and it's ready to go.

The bag is made up of two parts, the inner bag and the outer bag. On the outer bag are placed the small pocket.

Here I have listed the individual parts:

Outer bag:

4x 36x42cm (long side)- 2x long side and 2x for the iterated outer pocket ( it is the half of the long side, please fold and put batting in)

4x 36x23cm - 2x side part and 2x for the small pocket ( fold+batting)

1x 42x23 bottom

Inside bag: 

2x 36x42cm long side

2x 36x23cm side part

1x 42x23cm bottom, for all parts the same from batting

Sewing outer bag:

First I sewed the small outer bag on the long side and the side parts.

After that it is sewn according to this order: long side, side part, long side, side part (right side on right side)

Now the bottom, that is a bit difficult. First pin with needles and adjust the corner. I pin first the corner. Sew all around.

Sewing inner bag:

With the inner bag, proceed in the same way.

Please note: I take additional batting material, to make the bag more stable.

If you want to have a small inner pocket for pens, phone etc., you have to sew them in before assembling the parts.

Now come the handles.

Mine are: 2x65x10cm plus inside batting, makes the handles more stronger.

Sew close on the edges, I sew both side the handles, then iron.

Now both bags are placed in one another, the handles fitted and sew all around together.

I sew twice 1cm(3/8") from the edges and close to the edges.

On the handles zickzack stich.

Done!

I've also sewn a zipper in my bag, you can, but you don't need.

A transportation for Irmi and Diego

Mein erster Versuch, ein "Frechdachs" / My first try, a "Frechdachs"

Sonst nähe ich ja Teddybären aber die letzten Tage habe ich meine erste Puppe genäht.
Nach entwerfen des Schnittmusters ging es los.
Das schwierigste war der Kopf, er ist auch noch nicht perfekt aber für das erste Mal, nicht so schlecht.

I sew teddy bears but this days a tried to make a doll.
I designed the doll, it is my own pattern.
She isn't perfect but I think she is cute.
The most difficult part is the head.

Meine erste Puppe, ich nenne sie "Die Frechdachse".
"DieFrechdachse" darum, weil noch mehr folgen werden, sie braucht ja Spielkameraden und fühlt sich sonst so allein.
Sie ist noch nicht perfekt, aber für den Anfang finde ich sie gar nicht mal so schlecht.

I call the doll "die Frechdachse" but after that one I would like to make more.

Der kleine Frechdachs misst 30 cm (12")
Kopf, Arme und Beine sind aus Puppenjersey gefertigt, der Körper ist aus weissen Leinenstoff.
Die Augen und der Mund sind von mir aufgestickt worden.
Im inneren der Puppe befindet sich anti-allergic fiber fill.
Ihre Haare sind aus Wolle und auf dem Kopf der Puppe aufgeknüpft.
Sie trägt ein buntes Baumwollkleidchen und eine weisse Leinenhose.
Die Schuhe sind gehäkelt, zur Zierde an der Seite ist ein Knopf.

Stoffhasen nähen Tutorial / Plush Toy Rabbit Tutorial

Endlich Frühling und es ist kurz vor Ostern.
At last it is spring and short before Easter.

Draussen ist es zwar noch kalt aber es wird Zeit das wenigstens im Haus der Frühling einkehrt.

Passend zu Ostern möchte ich Euch zeigen wie ich diesen kleinen Osterhasen genäht habe.
Just before Easter I want to show you how to make an Easter bunny.

Zuerst habe ich ein Schnittmuster entworfen, als Vorlage diente der Tilda- und der Mayleg Hase.

First I designed the pattern, I made it after a Tilda-, Mayleg bunny pattern.

Als Stoff nahm ich ein ausgedientes Laken.

I took an old linen.

Nun übertrug ich das Schnittmuster auf den Stoff, den Stoff nahm ich doppelt und nähte auf der aufgezeichneten Linie entlang.

Put the pattern on the fabric, sewed along the line.

Dann schnitt ich die teile knapp an der Naht aus. Nächstes Mal werde ich es mit einer Zackenschere ausschneiden, damit es nicht so ausfranst.

Nach dem ausschneiden wir gestopft und die Teile zusammengesteckt und genäht.

After sewing I cut out all pieces, stuffed the bunny and sewed all together.

Nun ist er fast schon fertig.

Almost done.

Nun braucht der kleine Kerl noch Kleidung, ich entschied mich für Latzhose und Turnschuhe.

Also erstmal Massnehmen und Schnittmuster erstellen.

Now he needs clothes, I decide to make him an overall and sneakers but first I have to take his measurements.

Die Latzhose habe ich aus einem alten Oberhemd genäht und die Turnschuhe sind aus Filz gefertigt.

I made the overall from an old shirt and the sneakers are made from felt.

Mein Hase ist fertig, ich finde ihn niedlich.

Er ist 30 cm.

How to make a bunny

Her name is "Hasi"

To make this cute bunny you need to choose fabric ca 1/2 yard, white, brown, what ever you like.
I chose white and for the ears light pink.

Above do you see the sewing pattern, I made my own.

Baby first teddy bear.
Super soft and lightweight, the bear is made from brown plush fabric and my own pattern.

Rainy Sunday

It was a rainy Sunday, nothing you can do outside by heavy rain and thunderstorm.
So, I choose a old sweater to make a new teddy bear.

It tooks few busy hours, from drawing pattern on fabric and cutting out the teddy pieces.
4hours later, the head is done.
I think he's looking cute.

DIY Whipped Body Cream

Hi, today I made my own Whipped Body Cream.
This cream is made with organic ingredients, no preservatives.
It is simple to make and your skin will love it and it smells like chocolate.


What you need

1/4 cup organic, unrefined shea butter
1/4 cup organic cocoa butter
1/4 cup organic coconut oil
1/4 cup almond oil, I used argan oil (organic)
10-20 drops essential oil, what you like

Take a bowl and fill it with boiled water, put another bowl with the shea butter and coconut butter carefully in the hot water bowl and let it melt. It would take a while.

Is everthing resolvedolved add the coconut oil and the almond or argan oil . 
Stir all gently together and let it cool in the fridge. 
This would be take 15-30 min. or longer.

Once the mixture is partially set up add the essential oils of your choice and whip with the hand mixer until the body butter is fluffy and stiff peaks have formed , that would take around 2 minutes.

Spoon the body butter in a cute jar and it is ready to use or you have a perfect homemade gift.

A bone pillow can be used as a neck pillow as well as a book or tablet holder.

It is super easy to make and suitable for beginners.

So much to do....

Big help in the kitchen

Today I got big help in the kitchen.

 Irmi and Diego helped me to bake Christmas cookies.

At the end, we got over 300 cookies.

The Three Gnomes

It's cold! Es ist kalt geworden

Now it is getting cold, ok, it is November.

So, I decided to knit leg warmers.

See...I like it and the main thing is, they keep my legs warm.

Zur kalten Jahreszeit habe ich mich entschlossen ein paar Stulpen zu stricken.

Seht selbst, mir gefallen sie gut und das wichtigste, sie halten schön warm.
